Newport Capital Bancorp, LLC (“NCB”) is a minority-owned community bank investment company with offices in Los Angeles and Denver.

Newport specializes in providing additional Tier 1 and portfolio growth capital to community banks with a specific focus on minority institutions. With “White Knight” investment experience and its OCC regulator “known entity” status, NCB is well positioned to become one of the nation’s largest investors and owners of minority-owned community banks that serve the “Underbanked” communities. It helps community banks address cost cutting and fee income generation, using our back office and loan origination for government guaranteed lending programs that create Community Reinvestment Act (“CRA”) loans.

NCB entities have invested approximately $20.0 million into diverse banking and lending platforms, with $5.3 million invested by the Vasquez family fund;
NCB partners its investment capital with Community Development Financial Institutions, Public funds from Treasury to form housing ventures for Public Private Partnership (“P-3s”);
Co-funding for Small Business Administration (“SBA”) approved 7(a), 504 and Community Advantage loan with lender/Servicer to underserved communities. This partnership leverages 25 years of experience of the Certified Development Company (“CDC”) with the ninth most active SBA 504 lender in the nation.
Investment in National Community Development Fund I, an Impact Investment Fund focused on funding “Gap Financing” for Small or Medium Size Business “SMB”.
